Southampton fans discuss their next six fixtures as crucial period arrives

Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to discuss their side’s upcoming run of fixtures, amid what is looking like a potentially crucial period of their Premier League season.

The Saints have endured an abysmal start to their campaign after 11 games – winning just twice – which has left them sitting 18th with eight points in total.

Additionally, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have conceded the most goals in the top-flight with 27, and have also scored the third-least amount with ten goals in 11 games.

The south coast side have already faced Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and third-placed Leicester, who handed them an embarrassing 9-0 defeat in their own back yard.

In the next six games however, Southampton have a slightly easier-looking run consisting of matches against Everton, Arsenal, Watford, Norwich, Newcastle, West Ham – they simply have to pick up points from these games to avoid an early relegation battle.
